Cool Winchester EcoTeam Leader Support

Introduction

EcoTeam Leaders, thank you for stepping up! This page is all about helping you to lead your team effectively and enjoyably.

EcoTeam Leader Resources
Each EcoTeam Leader will have the following supports:

• The detailed guidance of the Low Carbon Diet Handbook.
• A Team Leader Checklist (PDF)
• Access to training materials and sessions.
• An EcoTeam Coordinator in your Organization.
• A continuously updated page of "Local Green Tips and Resources for Low Carbon Diet Actions" to support changes.
• Membership in the CoolWinTeamLeaders Google Group where Leaders can ask questions, exchange ideas, and receive updates.
• Post-EcoTeam Feedback Survey for EcoTeam Leaders to submit feedback to Cool Winchester at the end of each EcoTeam cycle.

EcoTeam Leader Responsibilities
Each EcoTeam Leader will need to carry out the following responsibilities:

• Get ready to lead:
  • Sign up to be an EcoTeam Leader, and specify a Partner Organization you'll represent.
  • Read through the EcoTeam Process Training Slides (PDF).
  • Read the Low Carbon Diet workbook. It tells you in detail how to lead an Eco Team.
  • If you'd like to attend an upcoming face-to-face training session, sign up to attend an EcoTeam Leader Training session.
  • Become a member of the CoolWinTeamLeaders Google Group.
  • Establish a relationship with your Organization's EcoTeam Coordinator. (We'll help you identify who that is.)
• Run EcoTeams.
  • The Low Carbon Diet workbook tells you in detail how to lead an Eco Team.
  • Coordinate with your Organization's EcoTeam Coordinator to ensure that EcoTeams that you'll lead get scheduled and assigned Members.
• After each EcoTeam cycle, ...
  • Ask your EcoTeam Members to complete the EcoTeam Member Survey.
  • Ask your EcoTeam Members to submit their latest revision of their LCD Action Plan to you before the last EcoTeam meeting.
    • Please follow-up with each household until you have everyone's file.
  • Double check that your team's LCD Action Plans are complete.
  • Submit completed Carbon Calculators and LCD Action Plans to CoolWinchester at coolwinchester@gmail.com within a week of the team finishing .
  • Complete the EcoTeam Leader Survey.
  • After receiving the team's compiled results from Cool Winchester, distribute them to your EcoTeam and/or organization and congratulate them on a job well done!

We hope you'll also publicize the Cool Winchester project within your Organization to generate volunteers to be EcoTeam Leaders and Members.
